Collector's Edition version of Robotech: Battlecry. Box set includes - Silver foil cardboard box with the game (same as the regular retail release) and included a packet of 3" X 5" cards of character concept art from the game drawn by Tommy Yune, a lenticular card depicting a Veritech fighter converting in action, a Battlecry t-shirt vacuum packed into a disc-shaped tin with card RDF logo on top, the game's official soundtrack on CD and a specially numbered Jack Archer metal dogtag. All "Collector's Edition" versions released for the XBox, PS2 and Gamecube all had the exact same aforementioned contents, just with different packed in software for their respective consoles as well as slightly modified to labeling on the sides of the box to indicate the "XBox", "PS2" and "GameCube" logos.
-Note: The North American GameCube version of the Collector's Edition was delayed and was released nearly two weeks after the PS2 and XBox versions were released on September 25th, 2002. Reasons that were speculated at the delay were possible issues of TDK's manufacturing of "mini" software discs as opposed to the standard CD/DVD sized discs that the PS2 and XBox consoles utilized, although that speculation was never confirmed. |
